Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Episode #8 - Pressing Forward

Our heroes continued toward Waterdeep with the caravan, defending it against giant spiders, ettercaps, and some nasty divebombing birdies. They did eventually reach Waterdeep safely. It was there they encountered Reven and were able to "persuade" him to return what remained of Nulara's stolen goods. The party then provisioned up and joined another caravan in order to continue their investigation of the cultists.

Who are They?: Players & Party

Scott S.

The Dungeon Master

Scott has been roleplaying since the 80's, starting with 2nd ed. D&D. He also loves the Marvel D100 RPG and the Lone Wolf RPGs.

His DM style could be described as "Let the chips fall where they may."

Scott L.

Endilthil/Kaelthiros (A dragon reincarnated as an elven ranger)

Lucien (Human Paladin)

Killian (Human Barbarian)

Scott is new to roleplaying with fifth edition but has grown into the hobby.

He has played more characters in this campaign than anyone simply because his roleplaying leads them to unfortunate ends. Killian is the noble soul of the party.

Dave

Mullyn (Gnome Wizard)

Murray (Air Genasi Sorcerer)

Dave is the veteran gamer of the group. He started with first edition D&D and has played many, many systems since then.

He initially started with Mullyn in this campaign and has since returned to him after Murray died in a very permanent way. Mullyn is the party's resident academic and scholar.

Bryan

Dain (Dwarf Fighter)

Bryan is the youngest member of the group in his early 20's but has been gaming since he was a pre-teen. He started with D&D 3.5 and has since gone on to DM his own groups in 5e.

Dain, his dwarven fighter, is the only character to continuously adventure with the party since level 1, thus, making Dain the main character of the story. Dain is the party's leader.

Sam

Oloril (Dwarf Fighter)

Sam is a veteran gamer. For some reason he loves games, even though he always loses and his dice rolling is cursed.

Oloril started as an NPC but Sam has breathed life into him as a player character since level 4. Oloril is the party's treasurer.

Josh

Roscoe (Halfing Rogue)

Josh is the most recent addition to the gaming group, coming in around level 10. He is a veteran gamer and provides a certain unpredictable factor to the group's dynamics.

Roscoe is a classic rogue in every sense. Although he fights the good fight, he's not above endangering the mission for his own personal benefit. Roscoe is the party's wild card.

Ben

Many NPCs & Monsters

Ben is the DM's 9 year old son. He is just learning the basics of D&D. He has played NPC party members as well as controlled the monsters during combat at times.

Anna

NPCs & Monsters

Anna is the DM's 7 year old daughter. She is just learning the basics of roleplaying and is learning to love the hobby.

John

John is a veteran gamer who has made guest appearances from time to time at our gaming table, usually taking over a prominent NPC.

Todd

Nulara (Human Monk)

Todd played 2nd ed. D&D back in the day and returned for 5e.

Nulara was a reclusive monk that isolated herself from the party. As an NPC, she has multiclassed into Warlock and become an important contact to the devil, Lord Volmer.

Jon

Thorin (Dwarf Paladin)

Jon was brand new to gaming at the beginning of this campaign.

Thorin was a proud and devout dwarf who valued honor.
